So far the response to the changes here has been mixed. About 13 people -- out of roughly 1,000 -- abruptly canceled their subscriptions to our email edition. As for the World Wide Web version, we don't know yet. We can't really discern how many readers access our Web pages -- we've never been convinced that any of the "counters" available to us provide much useful information, especially in the short-term. We might have a better picture after a few weeks.

We also got some email. Wrote our longtime contributor Matt Hogan, for example: "Morrock News Magazine. Hey, any magazine that doesn't smell of cologne or have a subscription card drop out is already worth it as is!"

We're still feeling our way along here rather haphazardly, though we do have Big Plans.

Meantime, please let us know what you think about all this. There's a Dear Editor "thread" going on our Message Board if you'd like to post your comments directly.
