She calls it her scrap book and her portraits of people, like the most recent and another taken in May, are superb in my opinion. There's other magic too...

This'll probably be the only site you'll ever see listed here that's funded by the lottery but the magnitude of its content is certainly laudable. A wealth of articles and images from a family of British museums plus, for registered users, a debate/discussion platform and other customizable features. Seeing things differently – insights into science and culture...

From green fields and blue skies and beautiful architectural shots to crisp black&white+red pictures inside parking garages – currently studying photography in Berlin, Johann's compositions are astounding (to me anyway)...

From musicians' favorite T-shirts to artists engaged in "recreating imperfections within product design," today's pick takes a look at "the edgy and slightly askew" side of pop culture. Interviews and tasty photographs adorn its pages and it invites you to "seek out" its insane offline events and exhibitions in both the U.S. and Australia...

Past, present, and future – "this website is where i post my own attempts at taking pictures and it also aims to keep cyril campbell's memory and photography alive." Cyril was Tristan's grandfather and "photography was his lifelong passion." Many of his photos are featured along with Tristan's and it seems little Zack is already helping Dad with some shots (like this beauty). All-in-all, rather extraordinary!

A teacher of web design and digital animation created the site as a space to collect "teaching materials, resources and links" and though part of the site (tutorials and course materials) are understandably for registered users only, it's the excellent list of links plus an "extensive gallery of student work," open to all, which I really wanted to point you to – enjoy!  [CSS Heaven]

The navigation and presentation are a little different than most photoblogs. The entries contain reduced crops linked to the larger photos in pop-ups – the smaller, partial pics are inviting. Damn, I love a blue sky (or any sky for that matter, when captured so well). And Kristof has another collection of big pictures too...~))

What can I say about Violet's (as in violetbanks) visual creations? There's people, guns, bunnies, cupcakes, horses, and balloons and she's got a wonderful knack for illustration and montage – be there...

The Strandleben ('beach life') series of 5 small square photos seems the perfect diversion on a summer day. And Etta's search for Paradies ('paradise') was obviously successful...;~))

Bob's photo sets include locations like Paris and Barcelona, and Chicago (which was sweet home for me for many years). His photo faucet is organized more chronologically – I like the pics from when he had to go get his birth certificate. A lot of great photos, and a juicy little bonus – his old site...

A claims to have coined a new word for photoblogPhlog™. "To share or show-off, Iím never sure." Besides cool street-art and colorful glimpses of people, the other assorted goodies found on this particular phlog™ are all-in-all very good. And I also like the way he shares the stories behind each shot in its expandable details panel. Choose light or dark background color and enjoy!

Bootjil's painting style is a digital variation of the centuries-old Gongbi technique, known for its "highly detailed brushstrokes." Beautiful works, as are the many other assorted illustrations you'll also find here.
