Photorevolt Magazine 7/30/06 Description:
an Italian photographic magazine
Comments:
The first 2 issues each had no less than a dozen participants, each contributing a series of 4-10 photos – things like art on walls and phenomenal scenes for starters. From Italy, an excellent photography magazine!

Whether it's eerie black & white or extreme colour you like, you're bound to agree it's a good thing Tilda came back to photography...;~))
Antrepo 7/27/06 Description:

From Istanbul, graphic design and photography by Can Pekdemir – Plastic City – killer illustration. And I loved the apartment and factory series of photos! [Bak]
blipfoto 7/26/06 Description:
the daily photo journal for everyone
Comments:
Currently, only a "small, specially selected group of contributors" have photo journals on the public beta of "the zero-fuss website that lets you publish a daily photo journal." It'll be interesting to see what it grows into. In the meantime, there's some great photos among its various individual journals, reachable via thumbnails on the main page.

experimental bytes plus photos (Flash)
Comments:
"You think of being a dancecommander too? Just let us know!! We only need a short videoclip of your mad, unbelievable dancing skills and some information about yourself..." Evidentally, when !BrainbuG! put the message out, several recruits were ready to "join the army" as dancecommanders and the result is a bit of interactive fun. Found that in his news, then went on to his big collection of other experimentelle bytes, various visual works and Flash animations – some very cool diversions. I like the section of photos too. And if you don't care for the soundtrack, a little exploration with your mouse should help you discover how to change it. [F]lab is a good thing...;~))
norma cordova photography 7/24/06 Description:

Multilink Magazine 7/21/06 Description:

Comments:
There's dozens of creative contributors and they want to hear from more. "If we're into what you're doing then we'll hook something up." The sixth quarterly issue was released last month. It's in pdf format with huge pages, so be prepared to move around and zoom as needed (and enjoy). Done well! [Visual Artifacts]
mru-vru.com 7/19/06 Description:
illustrations from São Paulo
Comments:
I find the site design a bit lacking in browsing options, but the original visual content's well worth it. "Unique Colors. Creative Style. Inspired Details." I'll buy that...

giving form to dissolving substances and fleeting sensations
Comments:
"Floating in the constant state of ecstasy and regrets, all is hypocrisy in eventuality. This instance perhaps is no exception." It started back in the 1998 as a small pop-up site, with a number of odd diversions, including the Manifesto Generator and Miami Sound Machine. From that original site, I really like Room, the visual story of a temporal happening where the public's reaction to a public space "became the performance." There's also photos and other visual works from more recent years, including a most engaging series of photos taken in Santiago.
Starduck 7/15/06 Description:
digital films, music, and other graphic projects (Flash)
Comments:Simulate Climate. The screeching electronic music by Proyecto Mirage and Starduck's moving graphics is a bizarre combination that'll stay in your head a while, especially if you dare to zoom in. And there's 8 other short films, all using Starduck's own music and phenomenal graphics. A vibrant creative space to say the least...

digital gallery of simo santavirta (Flash)
Comments:
"Now that I'm all finished after working 14 hours a day for two months, I'll go and vacuum-clean my flat, feed my cat and kill my self with a sweaty sock and a rusty spoon." Simo launched the new site back in May after having told friends over the last 2 years that when it does launch, it'll be huge and amazing. On one hand, there's the blog and on the other, Cosmos, "a great releasing spot for upcoming inspirations." Actionscript experiments, digital art, and illustration, all wrapped up in a very cool Flash interface. Pressure's off Simo – consider me amazed and inspired...;~)) [DOPE]
The Horizontal Way 7/12/06 Description:
a showcase of horizontally scrolling websites
Comments:
It's a beautiful layout, designed to be viewed horizontally and to help you enjoy its karma, Marco offers a free download of the template along with stylesheets and scripts. And it's also a growing index of other websites intended to be viewed the horizontal way. New and different...
Helen-Borrowman.com 7/10/06 Description:
visual art concepts
Comments:
"The clearer the message the better is the design." That's one of the lessons I guess Helen learned in Year 1 at LCC, where she just graduated (with honors). The site not only shares her works done in school, but also some other art photography and illustration. She's made some rather cool stuff so far (love the handmade books!). [We Are Typo! < zeroin]
Lisa Selby 7/8/06 Description:
works of London-based figurative artist Lisa Selby
Comments:
Lisa's oil paintings greet you as you enter the site. There's over a dozen of them and all very good in my opinion. But do check out her photos and daily doodles before you leave. Cool creativity... [pixelsurgeon]

A little rough in navigability and presentation, but if you like original graffiti and illustration, Hamilton's colorful works will excite you. [Zupi]
Pastoralia 7/5/06 Description:

Comments:
Unusual photographs. Trains. A mobile home at the crossroads. Blue doors and rust. Amazing composition and color throughout the collection. Love this! And in lieu of archives, the choice between large and small views is a nice navigation touch.
Destill.net 7/3/06 Description:
an online creative outlet
Comments:
"He enjoys a mix of art, body popping, a little free running and a healthy amount of mango ice-tea..." As I sit here pondering what body popping could possibly be, I'm also thinking that if you're an aspiring graphic designer who's gonna put a simple, one-page site out there, fill it up with super-tasty personal illustrations like Mike did...;~)) [High Floater]
Electrosphere 7/2/06 Description:
photoblog from Germany
Comments:
I mentioned a few days ago how a certain photo was inspiring to me. Having had some time to wander through Patrick's collection of mostly black & white photos since then, I'll just say he's got a real knack for composition. Beautiful!
smoke 7/1/06 Description:
a photographer among other things
Comments:
A small collection of photographs from a guy in Chicago, presented plainly, nothing fancy. There's something about the iron mountain series of 4 that pulled me in, still occupying a space in the back of my mind. I'm kind of tired, wondering what that baseball diamond might look like in the middle of summer and what other bits of magic might show up in the future...
